Requesting a Service or Reporting a Problem

The Porirua City Council's contact centre provides a professional and friendly first point of contact for your queries, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Types of requests or problems

  • Reporting problems, such as:
    • blocked or leaking water pipes and tobies
    • graffiti and tagging
    • potholes needing repair
    • roaming dogs
    • rubbish and recycling issues
    • streetlights not working
    • vegetation clearing on public walkways and footpaths
  • Requesting specific services or information, such as:
    • building inspection appointments
    • dog registrations
    • hall and field bookings
    • paying rates
    • transferring calls to Council staff

Please note that service requests are an operational matter and are dealt with by the Chief Executive, not the Mayor.
