Who are we?
Porirua Employment Hub is an initiative supported by Porirua City Council and the Ministry of Social Development with the aim of further reducing unemployment and increasing business growth in Porirua.
What do we do?
Porirua Employment Hub mission: The Porirua Employment Hub is set up to be the one place to help Porirua residents and employers get the guidance, job, training or staff they want. It provides free advice on job options, training and refers residents to employers and recruitment agencies.
At the Porirua Employment Hub, we’re set up to give you the best possible employment service experience. We cater for Porirua residents and employers. We especially look after young residents aged 15-24.
How can we help you?
If you’re a resident, we will sit down with you and find out what you are looking for. We will give you guidance and advice. We tailor our help to what you want. We have a resource room where you can explore opportunities, search the internet free for jobs and use standard letter or C.V. formats for applications. We know employers who are looking for staff for all types of work.
We also have people we can refer you to for specialist help, depending on your need. You may want to change jobs or access some new training. You may be new to Porirua City. Or you may want to tap into the support and networks of our established community organisations. We can help you.
