LIM Application Fees
Land Information Memorandum (LIM) fees are set by Porirua City Council each year on a cost recovery basis.
The fees were set by resolution of Council at its Te Komiti meeting held on
24 May 2012 (item #37/12) (21KB pdf) and adopted by Council at its meeting (item 37/12), held on
30 May 2012 (item #201/12) (17KB pdf).

After two hours of compilation, additional time required is charged at $119.00 per hour. This applies to both standard LIMs and urgent LIMs.
Processing Time
- A LIM takes up to 10 full working days to process.
- An Urgent LIM* is fast tracked and takes 3 full working days for residential and 5 full working days for Commercial LIM applications to process.
*Council has the right to change an Urgent LIM timeframe to 10 full working days if Council deems the LIM request requires the full 10 working days to fully complete the LIM request. Council will refund the Urgent LIM Fee portion accordingly.
Working day definition under LGOIMA 1987
Working day means any day of the week other than—
(a) Saturday, Sunday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Labour Day, the Sovereign’s birthday, and Waitangi Day; and
(b) a day in the period commencing with 25 December in any year and ending with 15 January in the following year.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Council has the right to change an Urgent Land Information Memorandum timeframe to the standard 10 full working days if Council deems the land information requested requires the 10 working days timeframe to enable Council to fully complete the LIM requirements. Any affected customers will be notified and the urgent LIM portion of the LIM application fee will be refunded.
Important Fee Information
- The Applicant fee must be received in Council before a LIM is commenced.
- A LIM can be cancelled without any debt incurred if it is cancelled before the LIM is commenced.
- A LIM is commenced once the LIM is loaded into Council system once the application form and applicable fee is received in Council.
- The LIM application is liable for any additional LIM process charges once the LIM is commenced and must be paid before LIMs are released by Council.
- All LIM application fees are non refundable once commenced and no refunds will be provided if cancelled.
- Fee payments can be made by cash, eftpos or cheque at the Council Administration Building, 16 Cobham Court, Porirua. Alternatively you can pay via internet banking by contacting Council's Accounts Receivable Team on 04-237 5089 or email LIM@pcc.govt.nz to obtain Council's bank account details.
