Dog Registration - renewals

This page describes the process for renewing your dog registration.

You must renew your dog registration before 1 July each year.

You will receive a renewal notice in the post in mid-June to remind you.

If you have changed your address, please notify us immediately so that your notice is sent to the correct address.

If you fail to register your dog, you may be fined and your dog may be seized and impounded.  To get your dog released, you will need to pay all fines and fees in full.

You will be eligible for a fee rebate in the following year's registration if you have your dog neutered and/or you apply to become a Responsible Dog Owner.

Part-payment options

It is possible to set-up a part-payment process to spread out the cost of registration.

Contact the Council before January to set-up part-payments towards registration due on 1 July the same year.
