Low-cost accommodation in Porirua for the 65+ age group

Wellington City Council's City Housing Unit manages the 26 social housing units owned by the Porirua City Council. These units are in Te Pene Avenue, Titahi Bay and are known as Moana Court.
The Moana Court complex provides the 65+ age group with secure, low-cost accommodation that is close to shops and public transport.
Am I eligible?
To be eligible for a Moana Court property, you must have low income and assets and must be all of the following:
without adequate housing
- 65 years or older
- able to maintain an independent lifestyle at the time of application
- a permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen, or a new arrival who has submitted an application for permanent residence or refugee status.
Porirua residents are given priority over other applicants.
