Boatsheds and Pole Moorings

This page gives information on Boatshed Licences and Pole Moorings in Te Awarua o Porirua and Titahi Bay.

Boatsheds

The boatsheds in Titahi Bay – Northern Launch Sites, Vella Street and South Beach -  are administered by the Porirua City Council.  Owners require a licence to occupy the land on which the boatsheds are located, being Council Road Reserve.  There is an annual licence fee which is invoiced and payable in July.  Charges for water connections, where applicable, are also invoiced in July each year.

The boatsheds located at Camborne, Paremata and Onepoto are administered by the Greater Wellington Regional Council.  Porirua City Council charges only water rates, where applicable and these too are invoiced annually in July.

Pole Moorings

The pole moorings at Onepoto are administered on behalf of Porirua City Council by Rick Gibson, phone (04) 293 3333.  The pole mooring fee is invoiced quarterly by Porirua City Council.
